The following pages
describe the community sites that are available for your experiences. Be mindful of any specific days or
hours, focus and special considerations
for each site. Sign
up accordingly. Remember to:
1. Observe
the RN role in a community/clinic setting (responsibilities to
patients/clients/consumers and their families, staff and physicians).
2. Assist
with patient teaching and procedures whenever possible.
3. Observe
how the RN demonstrates/delegates his/her responsibilities regarding
supervision of unlicensed personnel.
4. Be
sure to address the specific objectives for each site in your logs and
highlight those objectives before you submit your logs.
5. Read
the objectives BEFORE you arrive at your community site.
